When I saw this LG OLED TV in the store, I couldn’t believe how thin it was. Its literally as thin as two two-pound coins stacked together. I’ve added a picture above to try and show you how thin it really is, but you’ll never believe me until you see it yourself.

LED and LCD TVs are limited to how thin they can be because of the bulky backlights they need. But this is different. This is OLED. It doesn’t need a backlight because each pixel creates its own light. That means blacks are black while bright areas are dazzling, even when side-by-side which makes every detail and image crisp and clear.

I thought it couldn’t get any better than this, until I turned it on. Wow. I was watching live football and it felt like I was standing on the touch line. I could almost see every bead of sweat and blade of grass! It’s 4K UltraHD which means, for anyone who has experienced Full HD, this picture is four times higher quality. It even has Active HDR which makes colours really accurate with a huge range of shades, meaning every image will be just as it was filmed, giving you a really true-to-life experience.

Even the sound quality will blow you away. It uses the same Dolby ATMOS technology as the cinema which makes movie night feel more like a night out than a night in!

The remote control has a Netflix hotkey which I love. It takes you straight to a huge range of box sets and movies, with plenty even in 4K HDR! That’s not all though. This TV uses webOS 3.5 smart technology which gives you plenty of streaming and catch up apps – you’ll be spoilt for choice of what to watch. Built in Freeview Play and Freesat HD provide you with a huge range of free live TV channels as well as direct access to catch up services. Theres ScreenShare built in too, so you can show off your holiday photos and vidoes or movies from your tablet or smartphone on the big screen.
