Matt: Core 2 Duo processors are the best, the Pentium Dual Core is a budget version with less performance and features, but still based on the same technology.

david s: Unfortunatly this machine won't run the sims, and if your wanting it to last through her education it would really be worth while looking at the Acer Aspire 5920g which is approx £500 as this is a much higher specification machine that will be morethan capeable of running the sims game due to it having a dedicated graphics card.
