Easycom: Yes, this laptop can network wirelessly using WiFi (802.11b/g). Fingerprint technology would have to be added separately, probably my using a third party USB finger-print reader.

17-Feb-2008 menace: with this machine having a 2.4 ghz processor and a geforce 8600 gt graphics card would it be capable of playing the latest games ie call of duty 4 or crysis etc. if not any recommendations around the same price bracket. many thanks

Easycom: This laptop does have fans, but they are temperature controlled and most of the time they are almost silent. It is only when running very demanding applications that they speed up to keep the system cool.

13-Nov-2007 Mark: Hi, could you tell me if this notebook is the exact same model as shown on the manufacturers website (sony.co.uk)? Just had to cancel an order with a leading retail chain as they tried to miss-sell me this model - the visual difference I found was there was no illuminated Vaio logo under the screen - instead it just had a Sony badge. Don't know what differences there are in the machine itself though. The product number on their site was an exact match with the manufactures but when the confirmation came through it was slightly different. Many thanks

Easycom: The specifications and model number are the same between our machine and the one shown on the Sony website so I believe it will be correct.
