Easycom: You can extend warranty within 90 days of purchase.

5-Jun-2008 Dan: Is this product compatible with the new "Sony VAIO AR71ZU Laptop - VGNAR71ZU". Is it return-to-base, do they pick it up or do they fix it on-site? If it is return-to-base/pick-up how long is the full turn-around time typically for fixing the laptop?

Easycom: It is valid with that product, and is a collect and return warranty. The turnaround time varies a lot, we dont know what the average time would be.

12-Jan-2009 Aduks: My warranty ran out on in October 2008 but i did not receive notice to extend. Is it still possible to buy this warranty now (Jan 2009) and continue to operate under the terms and conditions as before?

SteveF: Sorry, the manufacturers will only extend the warranty within the first 3-12 months. Anything after that and they won't be valid.

21-Feb-2009 brian: I purchased my sony vaio labtop last november of 2007. is there still warranty on it from sony?

SteveF: I'd check with Sony as they sometimes give extended warrantioes away with there products but generally its a 12 month warranty.

26-Mar-2009 FM: I bought a Sony Vaio mid Jan 2009 and it appears the ink cells in the screen have burst (possibly from over heating). I'm not very impressed and not sure how it has happened as there was no over exertion of pressure was applied. Does the warranty cover the repair of this problrm?

David J: No, this does not cover accidental damage. It is however a collect and return warranty, the laptop will be collected at no extra cost.
