But don't worry, although most TV channels are waiting to jump aboard the HD wagon, services such as the BBC have HD content on satellite and freeview, so you can enjoy all the details without any of the fuss.
Not only that, you can enjoy the beautiful cinematic reproduction of movie images. The images that are recorded onto movie film at 24 frames per second (fps) are reproduced at two times that speed by 24p Playback. This achieves a more genuine film-like reproduction.
Improved panel contrast combines with the I.S.C.(Intelligent Scene Controller) to achieve a high, 10,000:1 contrast ratio (Dynamic mode only) to give the kind of expressive power that will thrill all science-fiction/horror fans out there as even the darkest scenes are elaborately detailed.
In addition to brilliant picture quality, the LZD80 offers the wireless control made possible by VIERA Link. VIERA Link lets you operate other connected Panasonic AV components using only the VIERA TV's remote control unit.
You can also view a slideshow of your photos on VIERA's big beautiful screen just by simply removing the SD memory card from your digital still camera, and slip it into the SD Card Slot on the side.
