Linksys Wireless-G ADSL Gateway with SpeedBooster is the all-in-one solution for Internet connectivity. The ADSL2+ Modem function gives you a blazing fast connection to the Internet, far faster than a dial-up, and without tying up your phone line. Connect your computers to the Gateway via the built-in 4-port 10/100 Ethernet Switch to jump start your network. You can share files, printers, hard drive space and other resources. Attach four PCs directly, or connect more hubs and switches to create as big a network as you need. The built-in Wireless-G (802.11g) Access Point allows up to 32 wireless devices to connect to your network without running cables through the building. In standard Wireless-G (802.11g) mode, your devices can connect at an incredible 54Mbps. And with the new SpeedBooster technology enabled, your real-world wireless network performance increases by up to 35 percent! Its also compatible with Wireless-B (802.11b) devices, at 11Mbps. 4-Jun-2007 Wendy: Probably a daft question but can I operate my laptop with the wireless router and my PC through a regular modem as it is now.

Easycom: This device contains an ADSL2+ modem, so you wont need to use your current modem any more.

21-Jun-2007 Montyprop: I currently have a Ntlworld broadband modem connect via an ethernet connection to the base PC and I want to have wireless connection to a laptop. Is this the best solution device to buy and would I still have to keep the NTL modem?

Easycom: This router will give you a wireless connection though it is an ADSL router so it will only work if you get your broadband over your telephone line. If you get your broadband over a cable connection you need a cable router, not this ADSL one.

18-Nov-2007 steven-mcd: i currently have a blueyonder broadband modem. so do i simply unplug that, plug in the wireless rooter and it shal work

Easycom: As Blueyonder is over a cable connection then you will need a cable router. The product you will need will depend on the modem connection, if it is a network connection then you will need a router (have a look at product code WRV200-UK) If it is a USB modem then you will need a modem and router built into one.
