19-May-2008 Ricky: im looking for a laptop that i can use both in UK and US. im an IT student going to Indianapolis to study and live for 2 years. i was wondering what would be the best notebook for me. i would like to play both UK and US regioned DVD and CD's and have the ability to charge my notebook in both countries without needing to carry around large adaptors or transformers. also i will need a notebook that is compatable with both US and UK standards to allow me to work seemlessly in both environments. i like the look of the 15.4 inch T61. i was also interested to know about warranties on your products to be used internationally.

Easycom: The T61 is a good choice, you don't need two adapters - instead you just need a different mains-to-adapter lead. As for international standards, there are no issues - and DVD plays any region. It also has an international warranty under the Lenovo International Warranty Service or IWS
