27-Mar-2008 Hannah: Im thinking of buying this laptop, mainly for gaming as it seems great price for what you get. Will it cope ok with The Sims 2 expansion packs? The laptop i have now ran fine on just the initial game but really struggled with the expansion packs. Would Zoo Tycoon 2 be ok on it aswel? One last thing, though not until next year, The Sims 3 is a definate, i dont know what the specs will be for it but do you reckon this laptop would cope, bearing in mind the specs of The Sims 2, if not wld the graphics be able to be updated in any way, even externally? If not, is there a laptop you would recommend which isnt gonna cost me a fortune. Thank you, Hannah

Easycom: This laptop will have no issues with Zoo Tycoon2/ Sims 2 and its expansion packs, although I can not speculate as to how well it would cope with The Sims 3 as no hardware requirements have yet been released. I would assume that the graphics would be updated for the Sims 3 and that the requirements would be much greater than those of Sims 2 - In which case you would be better suited to a high performance gaming laptop to guarrantee compatibility.

Easycom: The nVidia 7600 graphics chip is designed for gaming and will offer much better performance. The specification of this laptop is fine for homework etc.

Easycom: The HD2400 is equivalent to nVidias 8400M - It's a very capable graphics card and will play CoD4 and WoW. It's far from the most powerful mobile graphics chipset, but for the money it's very good. Ensure AA and AF are disabled, and CoD4 will give you playable framerates.
