This latest version of F-Secure Internet Security 2009 includes everything you need to protect your computer against threats originating from the Internet.

Suitable for those of you who own netbooks

Whether you’re a student who needs to look after your important work before a deadline, a business user whose livelihood depends on their work or just a home user who treasures their music and photos, with F-Secure your files are in the best hands available.

If your electronic data is important to you this might be the most important piece of software you ever buy!

Anti-Virus: Regular automatic updates to protect you from the latest threats

Anti-Spam and Anti-Advert: Stops unwanted pop-ups, adverts, spam in your e-mail and phishing attempts. Phishing is an attempt to fraudulently acquire sensitive information, such as usernames, passwords and credit card details, by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication such as e-mail or msn. This is becoming increasingly common in E-bay, Paypal and online banking services

Anti-Spyware: Protects from anyone collecting your personal information and hackers from entering your computer

Parental Control: Protects your children against unwanted internet content such as adult themes. This includes a web surfing time lock for children

New proactive DeepGuard technology protects you against any unknown threats. This includes:

Protection against worms: A computer worm is a self-replicating computer program which uses a network to automatically send copies of itself to other computers. Unlike a virus worms do not need to attach themselves to an existing program. Worms will generally slow a computer down by consuming bandwidth, whereas viruses generally corrupt or modify files on a targeted computer

Protection against rootkits: A rootkit is a program (or combination of several programs) designed to take fundamental control of a computer system, without authorization by the systems owners and legitimate managers

Protection against zero-day attacks: Zero-day attacks take advantage of computer security holes for which normally no solution is currently available. F-secure fixes these before they can be exploited.

Question from BenA: Asked on 06/09/2009 i am looking to buy a refurbished acer netbook. Would this be compatible with this.

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 07/09/2009
Yes, the refurbs are just laptops that are returned to manufacturers. Apart from that they do exactly the same as the new models and will accept the same software.

Question from Jennifer: Asked on 16/04/2009 I am looking to buy a new laptop and wondered if this F-Secure USB would be compatabile with my Vista desktop? How is it possible to use the stick after you have used the virus?

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 20/04/2009
Yes, the stick will be compatible with vista and you can use it after as just a memory stick.

Question from Helen: Asked on 26/03/2009 Today I was delivered a refurb acer netbook with F-secure Internet Security Suite USB stick as advised by your sales advisor who kindly phoned me to confirm. However I am unable to use it as it appears not to be compatible with lynx. Is this correct, if yes then I am a little disappointed as was advised to buy this knowing I was using it with the netbook, if not then apologies I am just useless and please could you advise.

Thankyou
Helen
