Easycom: It is a 0.3 megapixel camera

7-Dec-2007 Paul: Which is the better Graphics card the NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS 256MB or the Intel X3100 GMA. I am having to choose between this laptop and the Acer Aspire 7720G - 1A2G24mi-LX.ALNOX.249. I think I am right in saying this has a faster processor though the 7720G has a larger HD 240GB. I am mainly going to use it for surfing net and general emails though mainly to transfer from Camcorder to disc, I am sure this is possibly a better spec machine though I can always buy an additional HD to add? any thoughts on this. PLEASE your views as it is so misleading and confussing being a first time buying of a laptop. Many many thanks

Easycom: The NVIDIA is the better graphics card,. The 5920 has the faster processor, where the 7720G has the larger hard drive. Both are similar specifications where one has a faster processor and the opther better graphics card. Both laptops will be fine for the kind of use you describe, personally I would sacrifice the processor sped and opt for a better graphics card and a larger screen especially if you are looking at playing games or editing videos.

19-Dec-2007 Val: Which is the better performing laptop, this one or the 9304_LX.AWP0X.197? I tend to have a few programmes running at the same time so want something that can cope with this. Not used for gaming, just multimedia coursework and other such stuff.

Easycom: Both have a dual core processor, however the 5920 has a faster clock speed. Although the 9304 has a larger hard drive and screen. I would suggest that both have a similar performance for general use however for high demanding graphic applications I would say the 9304

21-Dec-2007 D!l63RT: I'm a microsoft partner and would use my own copy of an x64 OS - can this model be purchased with out the OS? The memory upgrade offer...is it to 4 Gig? How much extra?

Easycom: Unfortunately we cannot supply this model with out the operating system however you format the hard drive and install your copy. Please call us to discuss your upgrade requirements.

5-Jan-2008 typhoon9: Does the LX.AKV0X.108 have a Intel GMA X3100 Graphics card as mentioned in the specs or an ATI X1300 which alot of people seem to think. many thanks

5-Jan-2008 Tossy: Hi, I want to buy a laptop and i'm considering the T5450 LX.AKV0X.146 or the T7300 LX.AKV0X.108. I just want to use it for school work generally, watching movies, and downloading musics. Which of the two would you recommend?

Easycom: Why not save yourself some money and get LX.AKV0X.146, both would be plenty powerful enough for your requirements.

5-Mar-2008 cookster: In the product Spec for the LX.AKV0X.108 it has 1 x display / video - HDMI. Is this a HDMI port on the laptop? IF not what model has the HDMI port (I dont what a HD_DVD DRIVE model)

Easycom: This is a HDMI Video Out port for displaying directly onto High Definition TVs. It does not feature a HD-DVD drive.

15-Apr-2008 karen: Does this laptop have any program installed already?

Easycom: Yes. It comes with Acer Launch Manager, Norton Internet Security, NTI CD-Maker, CyberLink PowerProducer, Acer GridVista, Adobe Reader, Acer Empowering Technology, Microsoft Works 8.5, Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student Edition (Trial), Acer Arcade Deluxe, Acer PureZone installed on it.

15-Apr-2008 karen: Will this laptop run The sims 2 and its expansion easily?

Easycom: Yes It can run. but we recommend laptop with dedicated graphics memory card for gamming.

30-Apr-2008 Seoirseo: I use Photoshop for image manipulation & Adobe Premier for very occasional video editing, not interested in games at all, how will the supplied graphics card work with these applications?

Easycom: Its fine for these softwares. But we recomend to upgrade its memory.

9-May-2008 Stephen: would this laptop be able to play call of duty 2 and battlefield 2?

Easycom: You should look at the 5920G instead - the G is for Gaming :)

24-May-2008 Eastern: Im looking at buying but i have a few questions regarding graphics. Is it possible to upgrade the graphics card? and will upgrading be expensive?

Easycom: The graphics cant be upgraded unfortunately, because they are soldered onto the circuit board rather than having a removable card like a desktop PC.

27-Jan-2008 typhoon9: Does it come with windows home premium 32bit or 64bit ?

Easycom: Its 32bit.

23-Feb-2008 lamari: I want to buy a laptop for general school work, watching films, downloading music and transferring pictures and videos from my camcorder. I tend to use several applications at the same time and have lots of pics and videos to save. Won't be used for games. Essential: no loud fan noise. Any recommendations?

Easycom: If you donot have budget restriction then this machine is ideal for you. However i recommend (LX.ALC0Y.143 , LX.E870Y.139 , LX.ALE0X.004, LX.EA40Y.111, LX.TKT0X.130 ) any one of these.

2-Jul-2008 veritas: In the package deals the free laptop bag and mouse option has gone, if i order just the laptop now will i receive the bag and mouse later or is this option not available any more.

Easycom: Order product code BUN/LX.AKV0X.108/1227 and you will get the free bag and mouse with this laptop.
