17-Aug-2008 foireannj: I use a windows operating system at home. Would buying a mac laptop mean that anything I did on my laptop wouldn't be transferable to my home computer?

Easycom: Generally yes, the two are not compatible.

19-Aug-2008 Dazzle: I am going to uni soon and want to know if I will be better off with a mac or a laptop? I like my music and will be doing a degree in product design.

Easycom: Either machine will do the job admirably but I'd check with the Uni though to see if they have a preferred type.
