Autocad needs a lot of processing power, ram, a dedicated graphics and a high resolution screen to get the most out of it which this laptop has, so yes although the Thinkpad range has a couple of laptops which are specifically built for professional design work - although they are very, very expensive machines with amazing specs.

No, the buy now pay later option is not a monthly option. You need to pay the full amount within the time period as one lump sum.

The 6920G is basically a 16-inch version of the 8920G - You won't notice a difference between the two in terms of gaming or general computing performance. If you require better portability then I would suggest the 6920G over the 8920G as it is smaller and lighter, but the 8920G does have an 18.4-inch screen which is superb for games and movies.

You can use older versions of Office with Vista with no problems at all.

The 8920G does not use Firewire, in favour of using High-Speed USB2.0 instead. If you need firewire, look at the 9920G or 7720G - Please check the technical specification before buying, as some models do not have the firewire port - but the ones with it will have it listed under 'Expansion/Connectivity - Interfaces' in the technical specification. Look for IEEE 1394 or Firewire (same thing).

The CPU and GPU are upgradeable but this will void the warranty. The Core 2 Extreme is compatible. It is not possible to increase the memory to over 4GB.

Yes this laptop has eRecovery software which allows you to create your own restore discs or partitions that allows you to restore the laptop back to default settings.

You wont find many machines with this specification shipping with XP now, it might be best to obtain a separate copy of XP and install it yourself, the drivers can be obtained from Acer.

It doesnt have the VOIP phone, SP1 might be pre-installed but it cant be guaranteed, as this is subject to change depending on when each batch was manufactured.
