Unfortunately I can't seem to find any drivers for these for Windows Vista, however they may become available in the future. I would recommend you contact the manufacturer.

You can use a laptop for this however this laptop doesn't have an HDMI output. You will need a laptop with an HDMI output in order to play through a television.

This model does not feature a television tuner and none of the others in the gemstone range has a television tuner. However you can purchase a USB television tuner to enable television viewing.

This doesn't have an HDMI output however does have a VGA, DVI and S-Video output that can be used to connect to a television. The screen will display the resolution dictated by the graphics card.

The DVD drive does not support Blue Ray playback, and there isn't a digital audio output.

The GPU is built into the motherboard so the decision of offering is one really for the manufacturer. In terms of viewing HD content on the laptop, this chipset *does* offer decode in hardware of MPEG-4 and MPEG-2 and so will display HD content just fine. In the future, should a HD-DVD require a closed path for display using HDCP, then this would be another matter. However to date, no publishers have even announced any intention to do this.

Yes this is a Santa Rosa processor, in terms of graphics cards i think the NVIDIA has the edge but it is a small difference in terms of performance.

No it wouldn't be upgradeable to the 512MB. I would say the Nvidia card is the better out of the two.
