The Asus Eee PC range heralded a real breakthrough in ultra-portable computing, truly mobile and affordable too.
The 900 model is no exception, so if you need a mobile laptop or just a second computer for when the kids are hogging the PC then this is the one for you.
At less the 1Kg and no bigger than a hardback book it’ll easily fit into a handbag, rucksack or suitcase letting you take it anywhere with ease. What’s more, since it’s wireless enabled you can stay connected and get on with your work wherever you are. Finally, with the Eee PC 900 your work can suit your lifestyle rather than the other way around.
It performs well too, thanks to the Intel Celeron processor which promises to make your work quick and easy, powering through your everyday tasks and making working away from home a pleasure rather than a pain.
Your data will be kept safe and sound by the 16GB Solid State Hard Drive with no moving parts, making it considerably more durable. So, you can rest assured that your data is robust enough to handle the rigours of your everyday life.
The 8.9 inch screen offers a level of detail that was previously beyond such a compact laptop. With a 1024 x 600 resolution you get the benefit of an ultra-portable laptop without losing out on performance.
With in integrated webcam you can also use it to have conference calls with clients or just keep in touch with friends while away from home.
Powerful, user friendly and fun too! When you get all this for such a jaw dropping price it’s clear that, as far as mobile laptops go, you can’t go wrong with the Eee PC 900.

Question from Paul: Asked on 11/09/2008 I already have a 4gb eee, and am very happy with it, but have much improved it by installing XP. This was easy because the 4G comes with a DVD that includes utilities for Windows.
Could I do the same with the eee 9000. Is a similar DVD included, or could I use the DVD from the 4G?
Advice appreciated.
